Mike spent the first decade of his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney, most recently in the Special Victims Unit with both the Gwinnett and Cobb County District Attorney’s Offices. In the SVU, he exclusively handled cases involving sexual crimes and child physical abuse, taking many of those cases all the way to jury trial. He has instructed and trained future police officers at both the Gwinnett County and Cobb County Police Academies. His experience as a prosecutor now gives him unique insight into the strategies necessary to successfully defend his clients’ cases. Mike also has experience handling misdemeanors, traffic citations, and juvenile delinquency matters dating back to the start of his career with the Barrow and Jackson County District Attorney’s Offices.

Mike obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2012, where he served as a Dean’s Ambassador, was a member and coach of the Moot Court Team, and was a recipient of the Edith M. and Frank G. Lumpkin Scholarship and the Law School Association Scholarship. Prior to law school, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida State University in 2009.

 Outside the office, Mike is an avid sports fan and has visited all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums.
