Eszter K. Bardi is an Atlanta immigration attorney who focuses on complex immigration cases involving removal defense, federal immigration litigation, family-based immigration, and humanitarian relief. Known for her thoughtful, strategic, and client-centered approach, she represents individuals and families navigating some of the most challenging areas of U.S. immigration law.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Eszter represents clients in immigration court proceedings nationwide, with a significant portion of her practice dedicated to removal defense and federal court litigation. She manages her firm’s removal defense practice and regularly defends individuals facing deportation in immigration court.
Eszter is particularly experienced in immigration habeas corpus litigation and mandamus actions in federal court. As an immigration habeas attorney, she represents individuals who are unlawfully detained by immigration authorities and challenges prolonged or unlawful immigration detention. Through federal litigation, she advocates for her clients’ release from immigration custody and meaningful judicial review of detention decisions, often in complex cases involving detention under immigration statutes.
In addition to removal defense and federal litigation, Eszter represents clients in a wide range of family-based and humanitarian immigration matters, including waivers of inadmissibility, deferred action, and other forms of immigration relief. Her practice also includes representing children and families seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). She regularly handles Georgia Superior Court custody cases and Juvenile Court dependency proceedings to obtain the predicate orders necessary for children seeking SIJS protections under federal immigration law.
Eszter is a frequent speaker on immigration law and regularly presents at legal conferences and continuing legal education programs. She has spoken for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) at both the national and chapter levels on topics including immigration court practice, waivers of inadmissibility, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and immigration detention litigation.
From June 2025 through December 2026, Eszter is serving as Chair of the Georgia–Alabama Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). In this leadership role, she works to strengthen the immigration bar through professional development programming, continuing legal education, and collaboration among immigration attorneys across Georgia and Alabama.
Eszter earned her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. She is fluent in Spanish, Hungarian, and German, allowing her to communicate directly with clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
As an Atlanta-based immigration lawyer, Eszter believes that effective immigration advocacy requires both technical legal expertise and creative problem-solving. Whether litigating a federal immigration habeas petition, defending a client in removal proceedings, or helping families pursue immigration relief, she is committed to providing strategic representation that recognizes both the legal and human dimensions of every case.
